BCC forecasts IoT sensors for medical device applications will grow at 24.9% CAGR from 2016-2021. Applications include sensors that play roles in monitoring vital signs, providing alarms/notifications and feeding data to IoT platforms, and administering medical therapies. This Keynote Session explores how sensors are moving towards broader measurement to report on the context of medical information, increase the frequency/quality of data and increase the amount of interactivity with other data and devices to end users. This session also includes an overview of the security challenges and new opportunities to resolve them using a combination of technology, applications, and best practices.
