Artificial intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT) are emerging as key enabling technologies in a broad range of fields including healthcare. As with any new technology, there is much hype surrounding these concepts but rather few real-world applications at this time. This session presents a realistic assessment of the near-term scientific and business impact that AI and IoT based approaches, such as wearable sensing and automated diagnostics, could deliver to drug development in the biopharmaceutical industry.
